Cub football is aimed at players of all abilities, and whilst competitive, focuses on teamwork and fun. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t played in a team before and for those who do play
for FA clubs, provided the matches don’t clash on Saturday mornings, then you are welcome to play for us.
The 7-a-side games are held on Saturday mornings approx 10:00 to 11:30 from October to April.
We also have a League Cup which is played over 2 Saturday mornings in December, a half-day 5-a-side competition at Woking Leisure centre in early January, the Gove Cup which is played over 2 Saturday mornings in March, and then an 11-a-side tournament to finish the season.
Training starts again Thursday 8th September behind Heather Ridge School on the school field, from 6 - 7 pm. After October half term training will move to the hall in Heatherside Community Centre at the same time, 6 - 7pm.
All Cubs are welcome to come along to training - it doesn't matter if you can't make the matches on Saturdays. For those who have joined outside clubs, sometimes it is possible to play for the Cub team and also play for other clubs on Saturday afternoon or on Sunday. The FA doesn't allow players to play for more than one club but we are not part of the FA and therefore you can play for both.
